Carroll is new UW board head

Annette Carroll, representing the city of Huntington, has been elected president of the board of directors for the United Way of Huntington County.

Megan Bobay, of Parkview Huntington Hospital, will serve as the board's vice president.

They were introduced during the board's Jan. 22 meeting, along with new members of the United Way board.

The new board members are Alex Housten, of United Technologies Electronic Controls; Hannah Hubley, a Viking New Tech student; Mat Quickery, of Bippus State Bank; Brittanie Scheiber, of Insurance Services; and Ronda Smelser, of Huntington Sheet Metal.

Retiring board members were recognized during the board's Nov. 27 meeting.

They included Sonya Foraker, of Parkview Huntington Hospital, who retired as the board's president; Chad Daugherty, of Huntington North High School; Jan Hildebrand, of Southern Wells High School; Lee Pasko, of iAB; and Pete Schownir, of Huntington University.
