Optimists recognize pair from Crestview

Patrick Miller and Erika Kennedy, students at Crestview Middle School, have been recognized with Youth Appreciation Awards by the Huntington Optimist Club.

The awards were presented on Thursday, Feb. 28.
Miller was lauded as a leader both in school, where he maintains high grades, and outside the classroom.

He participates in football, basketball and track. He also works at a farmer's market during the summer.

Kennedy is one of seven eighth-graders at Crestview taking geometry and Spanish classes for high school credit. She also participates in cheerleading at the school.
