Monday, March 11, 2013 8:00 AM
The Huntington University Visual Arts department will host the 23rd Annual Juried Student Art Exhibit March 21 through April 9 in the Robert E. Wilson Gallery on campus.
This is a juried exhibit of works created by Huntington University visual art students during this academic year. The display includes paintings, sculpture, ceramics, drawings, photography, computer illustration and web design.
The guest juror for the exhibit is Stephen Batzka, a retired visual arts professor from Manchester University.
An award reception will take place on April 6, at 6 p.m. in the gallery.
During that time, students will be recognized for outstanding achievements in various mediums of art as well as best of show, first, second and third place. These awards will be decided on by the guest juror.
The art faculty will present the Robert E. Wilson Purchase Award, a student piece they choose to become part of the permanent collection at HU.
The Wilson Gallery, located in the Merillat Centre for the Arts, is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., before and after all MCA performances and by appointment.
The gallery is free and open to the public.
