Local Salvation Army to host outreach event
Monday, April 8, 2013 8:38 AM
The Salvation Army of Huntington County will host an outreach event on April 13 at 9:30 a.m.
A workshop will be offered on how to make homemade laundry soap and fabric softener.
"Many people are trying to find ways to save money. Laundry is one of those areas we can save in," said Captain Barbara McCauley of Huntington County Corps. "The cost of laundry soap, fabric softener and dryer sheets have raised so much over the last few years, we wanted to help cut the costs of this expense."
The event is free and containers and supplies to make the items will be provided. Attendees will also receive a booklet of other money saving ideas.
For more information call 356-3485.
The Salvation Army is located at 1424 E. Market St.
