Wickersham presents program at Alpha Chi National Convention
Monday, April 15, 2013 7:35 AM
Andrew Wickersham, a junior history major from Huntington, was one of five Huntington University students to present programs at the Alpha Chi National Convention April 4-6 in Nashville.
All five were members of the Indiana Beta Chapter of Alpha Chi Honor Society at HU.
Wickersham's topic was "Weimar Bavaria: Radicals and Reactionaries." He was awarded the Region V scholarship.
Other HU students presenting programs at the convention were Dan Binkoski, of Whitmore Lake, MI; Alexandra Jones, of LaMoille, IL; Jessica Krause, of Waseca, MN; and Abby Madison, of Fort Wayne.
The HU chapter donated more than 200 new children's books to be used in the Reading is Fundamental program at an inner city Nashville school. Its donation was the largest single donation by any chapter to the project.
The HU chapter received a Star Chapter award at the convention. It is one of only four chapters to have won the award every year since its inception in 1996.
