Christian singer-songwriter Don Wharton will bring his music ministry to the Cottage Event Center, Roanoke, on Sunday, April 21, at 2 p.m.

Proceeds from the show benefit the Roanoke Food Pantry.

A former baseball and basketball player, Wharton coached baseball at Concordia College, in Ann Arbor, MI, for three years. He began his music ministry full time in 1979 and often incorporates humor with a Christian, family values-oriented message.

A highlight of his performance is the true story of how he and six others survived a plane crash into the Bering Sea while returning to a mission trip to the Soviet Union in 1993.

Tickets are available at Mike Gibson State Farm, located on U.S.-24 in Roanoke, or by calling 483-3508.
