Eli Parker is the winner of the Pulse Opera House Reading Program. The 7-year-old read five Ramona Quimby books and won the drawing for two season tickets to the Pulse Opera House, a pizza from Tasty Pizza, a book bag and four Cubs tickets. Shown during the prize presentation are (from left) Deanna Albertson, school show coordinator for the Pulse; Cynthia Smyth-Wartzok, the Pulse's artistic director; McKenzie Parker, who filled the role of Ramona Quimby in the recent Pulse Opera House production; Parker; and Kay Stine, children's librarian at the Huntington City-Township Public Library. The reading program was sponsored by the Pulse Opera House in partnership with the Huntington City-Township Public Library, Andrews Public Library, Warren Public Library, Markle Public Library and Roanoke Public Library.
