Groups invited to decorate a designer chair for Special Olympics event
Thursday, May 2, 2013 7:44 AM
Miami Tool and Die is sponsoring the "Chair-ity Affair" at the Special Olympics Harvest Craft Show on Aug. 10.
Events will take place at the Family Living Building at Hier's Park in Huntington.
Businesses, organizations, clubs and government agencies throughout Huntington County are invited to design and decorate a chair. Any type of chair can be used. It must be decorated to represent the entrant's business, group or agency.
There is no charge for entering a chair.
Chairs will be judged on Aug. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Entrants are asked to have their designer chairs to the Family Living Building by 9 a.m. on Aug. 10.
Plaques will be awarded for first, second and third place chairs, as determined by a vote of the craft show attendees.
All chairs will be auctioned off after the judging.
All auction proceeds will benefit Huntington County Special Olympics and the YMCA's Champions league.
