Local Tri Kappa Youth Art Award to Sarah Johnson
Monday, May 6, 2013 8:05 AM
Sarah Johnson is the winner of the Youth Art Award sponsored by the Chi Chapter of Tri Kappa.
The award is given each year to an outstanding visual art student at Huntington North High School.
Johnson, a senior, will graduate with an academic honors diploma and will continue her education at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne next fall, where she plans to study nursing.
She is currently taking multiple dual credit courses and hopes to gain her CNA license before graduation in June. She also participates as a runner in Huntington North track. Johnson was also warded the Auer Art Scholarship from IPFW.
"Although I intend on earning a degree in nursing, I hope to still keep photography ‘in the picture' for my future," Johnson says.
