Two new clowns join Joy Pleasers

The Joy Pleasers Clown Ministry held its graduation and commissioning ceremony on April 23 at The Heritage of Huntington.

The ministry welcomed two new clowns and re-commissioned one with another style face.

The clowns completed eight weeks of training in balloon sculpturing, makeup techniques and skit performance under the guidance of current member clowns. Each new clown chose a style of clown face and put together a costume coordinating to that style.

The ceremony was preceded by a skit presentation that was enjoyed by an audience that included family, friends and residents of The Heritage.

New clowns presented a balloon and a rose to someone who is supportive in their life.

Following the ceremony, refreshments were served.
