HU holds Forester Night and names top students, professors

Samantha Brown, a Huntington University student from Huntington, was named Female Forester of the Year during HU's annual Forester Night on May 7.
Brown is a senior majoring in psychology.
The male and female Foresters of the Year are selected annually by a vote of the student body. Andrew Malloy, a senior from New Palestine, was named Male Forester of the Year.
Also during the evening, Dr. Dwight Brautigam and Dr. Luke Fetters were honored as 2013 professors of the Year
Brautigam has taught history at HU since 1987 and also serves as treasurer of the Conference on Faith and History, a professional organization for Christian historians. He holds a doctorate in British and early modern European history from the University of Rochester and specializes in 17th century English political and religious history.
Fetters, professor of ministry and missions, has taught at HU since 2000. He holds degrees from HU, the Wheaton College Graduate School and Ball State University. He is the founder and director of the Institute for TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Studies at HU and leads teacher training teams to China each summer.
Several Huntington County students were recognized as outstanding seniors.
Sarah Stine, of Huntington, received the outstanding senior award for art. She is majoring in art education.
Gaynel Nave, a biology major from Huntington, received the outstanding senior award for biology.
Jamon Hammel, of Andrews, received the outstanding senior award for business and economics. He is majoring in accounting management.
Aaron Bullen, a digital animation major from Huntington, received the outstanding senior award for animation.
