John Wenning will make his final appearance as director of the Huntington North High School choirs when the choirs present their final concert of the school year on Friday, May 17, at 7 p.m.

Wenning has taught vocal music at HNHS for 28 years, also serving as director of the high school's show choir, the Varsity Singers, during that time. He plans to teach at Crestview Middle School beginning this fall following the retirement of Crestview's music teacher, Bill Richey.

The May 17 concert, "Grand Night for Singing," will feature all five HNHS choirs and will conclude with the Varsity Singers' 2013 competition show.

Wenning's 28 years at HNHS will also be celebrated during the evening. All former students are invited to attend.
