Metro Kiwanis Club honors 21 Terrific Kids

The Huntington Metro Kiwanis Club recognized 21 fourth-graders from Huntington County schools during its 22nd Terrific Kids Night on April 29.

Terrific is an acronym for thoughtful, enthusiastic, respectful, responsible, inclusive, friendly, inquisitive and capable.

Students were selected for the award by their teachers on the basis of outstanding performance and improvement in grades, homework and citizenship.

They were treated to dinner and presented with certificates and bumper stickers.

The students honored were:

Andrews Elementary School - Bethany Marcum, Chase Neel and Merisa Walter.

Flint Springs Elementary School - Brock Brubaker, Tatum Taylor, Emalee Miser and Sam Rodrigues.

Huntington Catholic School - Gabe Krause.

Lancaster Elementary School - Gabe Baumgardner, Sam Scheiber and Haylie Keyser.

Lincoln Elementary School - Brady Fierstos, Ethan Adkins and Courtney Davidson.

Northwest Elementary School - Kortney Campbell and Lexi Osborn.

Roanoke Elementary School - Roscoe Heath, Nate Jacobs and Nick Jacobs.

Salamonie Elementary School - Brandon Gardner and Anna Scott.
