Gary Davisson is the winner of the adult division of the Huntington County Historical Museum's Hoosier Heritage Art Show and Contest.

Davisson also won best of show in the contest.

Davisson's art depicts a portrait of Chief Little Turtle against a backdrop of the state of Indiana and the forks of the Wabash River. He says he was inspired to create the work after observing the Wabash River and imagining the Native Americans who fought in the area.

Aiden Plasterer was the winner of Division 1, for ages 5-11. His entry was a polyurethane and stain on canvas of Abraham Lincoln's funeral procession through Michigan City. His inspiration, he says, was the impromptu funeral held by the citizens of Michigan City as the train carrying Lincoln's body passed through the city on its way to Chicago.
