Roanoke Antiques and Art Fair is Saturday

The Roanoke Antiques and Art Fair will return to the town's downtown area on Saturday, June 15, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The street will be closed to accommodate more than 30 antiques dealers.
Visitors will also be able to purchase ice cream, desserts and drinks or dine al fresco for breakfast and lunch.
The day also features live entertainment starting at noon by the Roanoke Rounders, bringing bluegrass and old-time music to the streets of Roanoke.
The Roanoke Rounders is made up of Paul Kiobege, on guitar and vocals; Kent Roe, banjo and vocals; Denver Marrow, on fiddle; Denny Alles, on dobro; and Matt Rupley, on upright bass.
Alles and Rupley are regular players at the Alles barn dances.
In addition to checking out items for sale by dealers, area residents are invited to bring their vintage or antique items to Roanoke for a consignment auction during the Antiques and Art Fair.
Items may be signed in at the corner of Second and Main streets, in downtown Roanoke, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on June 15. The auction, conducted by Scheerer McCulloch Auctioneers and Real Estate, will take place at 3 p.m. A portion of the consignment fees will be donated to the Roanoke Beautification Foundation.
Anyone planning to sell more than five items is asked to notify Scheerer McCulloch in advance by calling 356-4150.
