Cherry, Phillips earn Parkview Hospital Guild scholarships

The Parkview Huntington Hospital Guild has awarded scholarships to Laura Cherry, a student at Indiana Wesleyan University, and Megan Phillips, a recent graduate of Bishop Luers High School.

Cherry is studying nursing at IWU, where she just completed her freshman year. She is a volunteer at the VA Medical Center. She graduated from Huntington North High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, earned an academic letter and was in the top 25 of her class for three years.

Phillips graduated with honors from Bishop Luers, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and captain of the cheerleading squad. She plans to study nursing at Pfeiffer University, in North Carolina
