HPL sets open mic for teens
Wednesday, June 19, 2013 4:45 PM
Huntington City-Township Public Library invites teens in grades six to 12 to get vocal and show off their talents at the library's Open Mic Night & Coffeehouse Experience, to be held July 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the main library in Huntington.
Teens may read a poem, sing a song, play an instrument, tell a joke, act out a skit or display one of their many talents, within the bounds of what library personnel consider to be good taste. Performers need to stop by the library to have their material approved by July 1.
The coffeehouse will offer different kinds of coffee to sample, along with lemonade and light snacks.
Registration is appreciated, and can be done by calling the main library at 356-2900.
The main library is located at 255 W. Park Drive, Huntington.
