Two EE's Winery near Roanoke has opened its doors to the public, as of May 25.

The winery had its origins in a basement, where co-owner Eric Harris was introduced to winemaking by Dennis Hart, the father of his counterpart, Emily Hart.

Harris says his interest in wine making quickly grew from "a hobby to an obsession" that he finally decided to make into a business.

Harris is a certified winemaker, earning the title from the University of California Davis in 2010.

The winery is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Tastings are available in the tasting room, the outdoor patio or on any of the 40 surrounding acres of land.

Currently, four white wines, five red wines and two fruit wines were available to taste or purchase by the bottle at Two EE's.

When purchasing, cases may be bought by the half or full case and may also be mixed.
