Parkview Huntington Hospital's newly renovated outpatient pediatric rehabilitation area is now open.

The area, located on the lower level of the hospital, is an extension of the hospital's main rehabilitation and wellness center. It caters to children of all ages who need physical, occupational or speech therapy. It welcomed its first patients on April 22.

The area is 650 square feet and includes a 350-square foot gymnasium for children's physical activities with a ceiling-mounted swing and other pieces of equipment specifically designed to treat children.

Two private rooms round out the area and provide a quiet, distraction-free environment for occupational and speech therapy treatments.

Four pediatric rehab staff members provide care in the area.

A waiting area is available nearby for family members.
For more information, contact Holly Sale, the hospital's director of rehabilitation and wellness, at 800-533-2252 ext. 53203 or holly.sale@parkview. com.

Parkview Huntington Hospital is located at 2001 Stults Rd., Huntington.
