Young pirates take the stage at Warren’s Pulse
Wednesday, July 3, 2013 7:59 AM
"Buccaneers," a musical that premiered last fall at the Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis, opens July 12 at the Pulse Opera House, in Warren.
Rebecca Short stars as Enid Arabella, who is sent away from her family after her parents - played by Travis Fisher and Stephanie Westfall - fall on hard times.
Refusing to stay at a home for children, she runs off and is captured by the horrible pirate captain Johnny Johne, played by Tanner Crawford.
After Enid Arabella tricks the captain into falling off the ship, the child pirates declare themselves buccaneers and make Enid Arabella their captain. Captain Johnny Johne, though, has other plans.
Shows are July 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27 and Aug. 1, 2 and 3. Lobby doors open at 7 p.m. and theater doors open at 7:30 p.m., with all shows beginning at 8 p.m.
