Chair-ity Affair has a dozen entrants, with room for more

The Chair-ity Affair, sponsored by Miami Tool and Die, has drawn 12 entries from around Huntington County.

The Chair-ity Affair will be held on Aug. 10 in conjunction with the Huntington County Special Olympics Harvest Craft Show taking place in the Family Living Building at Hier's Park, in Huntington.

Craft show hours are 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Participants this year include American Legion Post 7, Ardella's Silk Creations, Auto Zone, Dollar General, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Helping Paws Pet Haven, Huntington County Sheriff's Department, Owen's South, Re/Max Professional Group, Huntington County Special Olympics, Wings Etc. and YMCA.

Businesses, organizations, clubs and government agencies throughout Huntington County are invited to design and decorate a chair. Any type of chair can be used.
Judging by the public will be based on how well the chair represents the entrant's business, organization, church, etc.

Trophies will be awarded for first, second and third place chairs, as determined by a vote of the craft show attendees. There is no charge for entering a chair.

Chairs must be delivered to the Family Living Building at 9 a.m. on Aug. 10.

Chairs will be auctioned for charity following the awards presentations at 2 p.m.

Auctions proceeds will benefit Huntington County Special Olympics and the YMCA's Champions League.
