Warren building demolition closes Ind.-5 to truck traffic
Thursday, July 18, 2013 7:42 AM
The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces that Ind.-5 in Warren, between Ind.-218 (East 1st Street) and East 3rd Street is closed to truck traffic which started Monday, July 15.
The restriction, which is under permit by INDOT, will allow demolition of an unsafe building on Ind.-5 to proceed without added hazard from large truck vibrations. Passenger vehicles are allowed on Ind.-5 in this area.
The truck detour follows Ind.-218 to Grover Street to 5th Street.
The restriction is expected to continue until the first week of August, weather permitting.
