Roanoke Tractor Pullers again host pull, DD

The Roanoke Tractor Pullers Association will host its annual tractor pull on Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. and a demolition derby on Sept. 7 at 7 p.m.

Both events will be held at the Roanoke Fall Festival, with gates opening at 6 p.m.

A kiddie tractor pull will also be held on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 10 a.m. at the main tent at the Roanoke pavilion, with children's activities beginning at 9 a.m. on the tennis courts.

Admission will be charged to enter both events.

This year's events will support Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.

"Our name for this is ‘Pulling for Hope' - hope for those who are battling cancer," says Kelly Schoenemann, member of the Roanoke Tractor Pullers Association.

The tractor pull and demolition derby will support an overall donation to Cancer Services.

The association also supports the Honor Flight program and the Roanoke Park association, and can be followed on Facebook.
