Writing workshop Sept. 14 at Hgtn. library

Area writers are invited to attend a writing and publishing workshop on Saturday, Sept. 14.

The workshop will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Huntington City-Township Public Library, 255 W. Park Drive, Huntington. It is sponsored by the library and the Huntington Area Writers' Group.

Monica Koldyke Miller, author of the historical romance novel "Threads of Betrayal," will present the workshop.

Topics to be covered during the workshop are designed to help writers increase their writing skills and better understand aspects of book publishing. The topics include writing skills, query letters and tips for independent publishers. A question and answer session will follow the workshop.

Signed copies of Miller's novel will be available for purchase.

There is a fee for handouts, payable at the door. Participants may bring their own beverages and snacks.
