The Huntington County Community School Corporation welcomes a new professional development team for the 2013-2014 school year. The team includes:
Brad Graden, high school professional development coordinator; Valerie Herald, middle school professional development coordinator and Neil Rupp, elementary professional development coordinator.
Chuck Grable, assistant superintendent for instruction at HCCSC, says the role of the professional development coordinators is to support teachers and help with the implementation of district initiatives. These include literacy instruction, project-based learning and technology integration.
Professional development coordinators provide training and follow-up support through large group presentations, small-group sessions and one-on-one support.
