Jefferson Chapel to serve homemade ice cream

Jefferson Chapel United Methodist Church will host an ice cream social featuring homemade ice cream on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The menu includes eight varieties of ice cream, which start from a mix donated by Prairie Farms. Flavors include vanilla, chocolate, orange-pineapple, mint-chocolate chip, butter pecan, strawberry, raspberry and lemon.

Other items include hot turkey sandwiches, sloppy Joes, hot dogs, chips, dessert and drinks. Ice cream and baked items will be available to take home.

A free will donation will be taken with all proceeds going to the children's camp fund.

The event is to be held at 7067S-500E, Columbia City.
