HCCF accepting scholarship applications

Huntington County Community Foundation is accepting applications rof a variety of 2010 scholarships.

2 4 Golf Scholarship Fund:
This scholarship is for Huntington North graduating seniors who have participated in athletics.

Vincent Allman Art Scholarship Fund:
This scholarship is for Huntington County residents majoring in visual arts education (art teacher).

Andrews First Christian Church Memorial Scholarship Fund:
This scholarship is for students living in Dallas Township or north of the Salamonie River in Polk Township or descendants of a member of the former Andrews First Christian Church.

Mr. and Mrs. James Breiner Family Scholarship Fund:
This scholarship is for Huntington North High School or Northfield High School graduating seniors. Preference given to education major, other majors will be considered. Non-traditional students or full-time college students may apply.

Scott Breiner Scholarship Fund:
This scholarship is for Huntington North High School or Northfield High School graduating seniors. Preference given to education major, other majors will be considered. Non-traditional students or full-time college students may apply.

Gary W. McCurly Scholarship Fund:
This scholarship is for Huntington County residents or Huntington North High School graduating seniors majoring in business or law studies, enrolling as a full-time student at Indiana University, Bloomington, or other IU campus sites. Must demonstrate financial need.

Charles and Wilma Sanger Shuman Family Scholarship Fund: This scholarship is for Huntington County residents or Huntington North High School graduating seniors majoring in business education or other education fields, with other majors considered. Enrolling as full-time student at an Indiana university or college. Preference given to: University of Saint Francis, Huntington University, Taylor University, Manchester College, Indiana Wesleyan University, and IPFW.

Thomas J. Uecker Memorial Scholarship Fund:
This scholarship is for a Huntington North High School graduating senior pursuing a ca-reer in a math related field.

George and Garnet Bergman Scholarship Fund:
This scholarship is for Warren residents who graduated from Huntington North High School, Southern Wells High School or Eastbrook High School.

Dorothy M. Coll Scholarship Fund:
This scholarship is for Huntington County residents with financial need enrolling as a full-time college student majoring in science.

Shirley and George Kilander Purdue University Fund:
This scholarship is for Huntington County residents who are current high school gradu-ates attending Purdue University's Lafayette Campus.

Dave Reeves Athletic Scholarship Fund:
This scholarship is for Huntington North High School graduating seniors, who have thrown discus or shot put for the Huntington North Vikings.

Carl Repp Scholarship Fund:
This scholarship is for Huntington North High School graduating seniors or Huntington County residents currently attending Huntington University as full-time students. Must demonstrate financial need.

Luke and Erma Scheer Memorial Historical Fund:
This scholarship will be awarded to college students who have completed their sophomore year at an accredited college or university in Indiana or the bordering states. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in history, historic preservation, or a related field. (Not available at HNHS).

Paul D. Souder Memorial Scholarship Fund:
This scholarship is for students pursuing a career in the field of aviation, including; mechanic, pilot, etc. Huntington, Wells, Blackford, Grant, and Whitley County graduating seniors may apply.

Ephraim "Mike" and Mary Cecil Fund:
This scholarship is for Huntington County residents who are members of Trinity United Methodist Church, Huntington, pursuing education in ministry of Christian faith or others pursuing a career in ministry of Christian faith.

Rob Henn Athletic Scholarship Fund:
This scholarship will be awarded to a Huntington North High School athlete, graduating senior.

Heith Garner Volunteer Scholarship Fund: This scholarship is for a student exhibiting volunteerism and is a Huntington County resident.

Dr. and Mrs, John Hohe IPFW Scholarship Fund:
This scholarship is for Huntington County residents or Huntington North High School graduating seniors attending Indiana University, Purdue University - Fort Wayne Campus.

Dr. and Mrs. John Hohe University of Saint Francis Scholarship Fund:
This scholarship is for Huntington County residents or Huntington North High School graduating seniors attending University of Saint Francis as a full-time nursing student or any allied health program.

Joseph H. Lesh Scholarship Fund:
This scholarship is for Huntington County residents or Huntington North High School graduating seniors, and current college students majoring in pre-law or law-related career.

Mary Edith Reiff Scholarship Fund:
This scholarship is for a Huntington County Resident with preference given to students living in Dallas Township.

Daugherty Family Fund:
This scholarship is for an employee, retired employee or their descendants of The Daugherty Companies, Inc. Non-traditional student and full-time college students are eligible. (Not available at HNHS.)

Frank L Pyle Sr. Scholarship Fund:
This scholarship is for a full-time electronics major at a two or four year college: IPFW, Rose Hullman Institute of Technology, Tri State College, Ivy Tech State College; for Huntington County residents. Must demonstrate financial need.
