Huntington BZA to hear trio of requests Jan. 6

The Huntington Board of Zoning Appeals will consider three requests during its meeting on Monday, Jan. 6, at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting will be held in the city council chambers on the third floor of the City Building, 300 Cherry St., Huntington.

Two of the requests, both seeking variances from development standards, were submitted by LSPS Realty, LLC, for a property at 2814 Theater Avenue. The company is seeking a six-foot variance from the minimum side yard setback for an existing structure, as well as a six-space variance from the 15-space minimum parking requirement.

The Park Lofts at Huntington, LLC, on behalf of the YMCA, has requested a variance of development standards for the former YMCA site at 607 Warren St. The company is seeking a five-foot variance from the 35-foot maximum height requirement for a principal structure.

The board will also elect officers and reorganize for 2014.
