Supper and auction will benefit St. Jude's

The Beta Chi Chapter of ESA International will host its second annual spaghetti supper and auction for St. Jude's Children Hospital, on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The event will be held at the Huntington PAL Club.

A silent auction will be held during the meal, with winners announced at 7 p.m. Randy Harvey, from Harvey Auctioneering, will conduct a live auction starting at 6:30 p.m.

Several items have been donated from local businesses and private citizens.

Live auction items include a child's John Deere lawn and garden tractor and wagon, a half beef and half hog, various gift certificates, two dental cleaning exams, free portrait sitting, gift baskets, wireless headset and batteries, Vera Bradley bags, a three-month membership to the Huntington YMCA and one-year membership to the Parkview Huntington Hospital Fitness Center, among many others.

K105 will be broadcasting the event live and Deon Cahill, ESA state coordinator for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and Deena Walters, past Indiana ESA state president will both be in attendance.

Schenkel Dairy will be providing beverages; Breyer's Ice Cream, ice cream and Harris Water Conditioning will be donating bottled water.

The beef for the spaghetti sauce is also donated.

There is cost for tickets to the event, with a discount for children ages 3 to 10.

Tickets are available at all Huntington and Roanoke Bippus State Bank locations.

The PAL is located at 2099 Riverside Drive.
