Monday, February 3, 2014 7:40 AM
The Huntington Parks and Recreation Department will again sponsor its annual Daddy-Daughter Dance and the Mother-Son Sports Extravaganza.
Two sessions of each event will be offered, and tickets for all sessions are available now.
The Daddy-Daughter Dance will be held on Saturday, Feb. 22, and Sunday, Feb. 23, at Heritage Hall, in Hier's Park.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. both nights for pictures, and the dance will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
This year's dance will have a '50s sock hop theme. Light refreshments will be available. Dads and daughters will receive their pictures, as well as a small gift, at the end of the evening.
The Mother-Son Sports Extravaganza will be held on Saturday March 8, and Sunday, March 9, also at Heritage Hall.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for pictures, and the event takes place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Light refreshments will be available.
Tickets must be purchased in advance at the parks department office, 634 Webster St., in Huntington. Office hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
No tickets will be sold at the door.
