Monday, February 17, 2014 7:57 AM
The Huntington Parks and Recreation Department will be offering spring swimming lessons to area youth beginning in April.
The two-week lessons will take place at the Northview Inn & Suites the week of April 6 and April 13. A beginner class will meet from 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and an intermediate class will be offered this year from 6:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Children in the beginner class will learn to do bobs, front floats, back floats, as well as the basics of kicks and strokes. The intermediate class will teach children to perfect the strokes and kicks they learned in the beginner class as well as new kicks and strokes.
There is a fee for the two-week class, per child. Class size is limited and reservations are required.
For more information, or to register a child, call the Parks Department office at 358-2323.
