Parkview seeking hospice volunteers
Thursday, February 20, 2014 7:47 AM
Parkview Health is seeking individuals interested in becoming hospice volunteers.
Parkview Hospice volunteers provide companionship to people in hospice care and may also assist caregivers with non-clinical tasks. Volunteers can choose to work close to home, caring for patients in Huntington as well as LaGrange, Kendallville, Columbia City, Fort Wayne and surrounding communities.
Parkview will offer several training sessions, each starting with an introductory session.
The first Introduction to Hospice Volunteering session will be held on Friday, Feb. 21, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Parkview Home Health and Hospice Office, 1900 Carew St., Suite 6, Fort Wayne.
Training sessions will be held on Feb. 28, March 7 and March 14, all from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Additional training series will begin April 7 and June 6.
To register, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 800-363-9977 extension 39896 or 373-9896.
