Area Girl Scouts to host World Thinking Day
Monday, March 3, 2014 8:12 AM
The Girl Scout Community of Huntington and Wabash Counties will host World Thinking Day on March 23 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Mt. Etna United Methodist Church, located at the corner of Ind.-124 and Ind.-9.
The event is open to all girls in kindergarten through 12th grade, whether or not they are Girl Scouts, and their families.
Area Girl Scout troops will set up booths representing countries around the world, using crafts, food and games to teach visitors about other cultures.
In keeping with the theme of promoting universal primary education worldwide, the scouts will accept donations of school supplies to benefit the local community.
There is no charge for the event, but a permission slip must be completed at the door.
