Operation Pull Over patrols back in force

Area law enforcement agencies are conducting a major enforcement effort to crack down on impaired and dangerous driving.

Now through March 23, the Indiana State Police, Huntington County Sheriff's Department, Huntington Police Department and Warren Police Department are participating in Operation Pull Over.

The ISP says its enforcement effort will include saturation patrols and sobriety checkpoints throughout the state.

The increased enforcement effort encompasses St. Patrick's Day and many March sporting events.

"We will have a strong and visible police presence aimed at deterring dangerous driving and getting impaired drivers off the street," says Huntington County Sheriff Terry Stoffel. "If you plan to drink alcohol, don't drive. Designate a sober driver."
