Heritage Days sponsor, logo unveiled

Markle Health & Rehabilitation, in Markle, will serve as official sponsor of the 2014 Heritage Days celebration in Huntington, the Huntington County Chamber of Commerce has announced.

Vicki Shepherd is the administrator of Markle Health & Rehabilitation, an American Senior Community located at 170 N. Tracy St., in Markle.

The facility offers rehabilitation, physical therapy, Auguste's Cottage memory care, skilled nursing, long-term care, hospice care and respite care.

As official sponsor, Markle Health & Rehabilitation's name will be part of the newly-announced logo for this year's festival.

The logo features a scene from the 1920s in keeping with the Heritage Days theme, "Flourishing in the 1920s."

This year's theme is part of an ongoing effort to explore Huntington's heritage.

The Heritage Days festival will be held June 18 to 22, with events at various locations throughout Huntington.

Festival highlights include the Chief of the Flint Springs Tribe breakfast on Thursday, June 19; a parade on Saturday, June 21; and JeFFFest on Sunday, June 22.
