Herman Chiropractic takes over Huntington practice
Rebecca Sandlin - Thursday, March 13, 2014 7:49 AM
Chiropractor Ben Herman has taken over the Huntington practice of Dr. Kwang B. Lee, who recently retired after 34 years.
Family Chiropractic has changed its name to Herman Chiropractic but will have the same address at 1217 S. Jefferson St. Suite A and same phone number, 356-8444.
Herman is from southern Wells County. He attended the University of Saint Francis then graduated in 2008 from the Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, MO. He practiced chiropractic in his hometown of Bluffton prior to moving his office to Huntington.
"I practiced there for little over five years before Dr. Lee got hold of me and basically told me he was retiring and wanted to know if I would keep the office open," Herman says. "Dr. Lee has been here for a long time and I would like to continue to care for his patients."
Herman offers care for all ages, from babies to geriatric patients, with treatments for ailments including headaches, back pain, sciatica and neuro-muscular issues.
"It's a family practice. I will basically treat anybody in the family," he explains. "I just like to keep my practice as focused on the full family type of care, not necessarily pigeon-holed into one specialty."
Herman describes himself as a "hands-on" chiropractor - he uses his hands to make adjustments rather than using instruments, unless requested. He also advocates shorter treatment plans, if appropriate.
"We treat everybody as an individual case," he says. "My philosophy is ‘Find it; fix it; leave it alone.'"
Herman will begin full-time office hours from Monday to Friday beginning Monday, March 17, with some later hours available on certain days to be determined.
