HU team named finalist in state agriculture marketing campaign competition

A team from Huntington University was named one of three finalists in the "Promoting the Good Works of Indiana Agriculture" competition in an announcement by Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann on Friday, March 7.

In response to a request for a proposal to develop a creative, innovative communications campaign promoting Indiana agriculture, 38 teams representing more than 200 students and 19 institutions submitted entries.

Teams from the University of Indianapolis and the University of Southern Indiana rounded out the finalists.

"I want to thank all the teams (for) their creativity and hard work to prepare very impressive and professional proposals.

"Selecting the three finalists was challenging for our panel of judges," said Ellspermann.

On March 24, the three finalists will make 20-minute presentations of their proposals to a panel of judges.

The winning submission will receive $25,000 with $10,000 awarded to the school and the remaining $15,000 split among the students who prepared the proposal.
