Bolinger, Ditzler earn Carl Repp scholarships

Elizabeth Bolinger, of Warren, and Marie Ditzler, of Huntington, have been awarded 2014 Carl Repp scholarships through the Huntington County Community Foundation.

Bolinger, a 2011 graduate of Huntington North High School, is a rising senior at Huntington University majoring in psychology. She is the daughter of Marie and Robert DeWeese.

At Huntington University, Bolinger is a member of the Alpha Chi National Scholarship Honor Society, the HU representative on the Higher Learning Commission and presented her research findings at the Butler Research Conference. Her volunteer activities include work with the Bread of Life Food Pantry, Love In the Name of Christ and Solid Rock United Methodist Church Soup Supper.

Ditzler, a 2013 graduate of Huntington North, is a rising sophomore at Huntington University majoring in nursing with the career goal of becoming a pediatric nurse. She also runs cross country and track for HU and made the dean's list and athletic honor roll her freshman year.

The scholarship was funded anonymously to honor Carl Repp. It is awarded to Huntington North graduates planning to attend Huntington University or current full-time Huntington University students.
