Stoffel to study at Trine with help of Pyle award

The Huntington County Community Foundation announces that Caleb Stoffel, of Huntington, has been awarded the 2014 Frank L. Pyle Sr. Scholarship.

Stoffel, a graduating senior from Huntington North High School, will be attending Trine University, majoring in mechanical engineering. He is the son of Annette and Mike Stoffel.

Stoffel is a National Honor Society member and has played soccer and basketball at Huntington North. His volunteer work has been with the New Life Food Ministry, 4-H and as a math tutor.

The Frank L. Pyle Sr. Scholarship was established by Ruby Pyle in 2003 to assist Huntington County students pursuing a two or four-year degree in electronics at one of the following schools: Ivy Tech, Trine, Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne or Rose-Hulman.

Applicants must be Huntington County residents with a "B" or better grade point average attending school full-time.
