HU top value in state for college ed

Huntington University has been ranked as the top school in Indiana for its economic value by Educate to Career's recent college rankings.

Huntington was named No. 39 out of more than 1,200 schools nationwide.

HU students make an average of $31,600 upon graduation, according to ETC. The ranking system, developed in 2013, measures improvement in earnings and employability of graduates against the total cost of the education at the institution.

ETC, a California-based nonprofit organization, determines rank based on graduates in their field of study, average salary of graduates, individuals employed within one year of graduation, a graduate's major, number of years it takes to graduate, tuition, loan default rates and comparison data among peer groups.

The ETC rankings are available online at www.jobsearchintelligence.com/etc/collegerankings-result.php.
