The Women's Fellowship of Central Christian Church will furnish school kits to the Church World Service as its next service project. Bags have been purchased and a list of items required is in the bag.

Volunteers from other churches are invited to help with the project. They may stop by Central Christian Church, pick up a bag and the list of items, purchase the items and bring them to the church. Or they may go to the Church World Service website and get the list, purchase the items and bring them to the church. The Women's Fellowship has a supply of bags that are the correct size and will put the supplies in the bags.
Donations are also accepted and will go toward the cost of shipping to areas where needed.

The kits contain simple, small things, new pencils, a toothbrush, cleaning supplies or diapers. Kits may be sent to Africa or the Middle East, where refugee children are provided school kits to continue their education, or may go to the Caribbean, where hygiene kits are a vital part of recovery efforts following a devastating hurricane.

The final destination may also be in the U.S. in the Midwest or Gulf Coast, where emergency cleanup buckets can help families clean up following a tornado or flooding.

The deadline is Aug. 30, when someone from Central Christian Church will deliver the bags to the Church World Service office in Elkhart.
