Kelly Ditzler's painted rain barrel was the winner of the Splash on the Wabash People's Choice Award.

The rain barrels were auctioned the evening of the Splash on the Wabash event on July 26 in the Riverfront Plaza parking lot.

Ten rain barrels were painted by local non-profit organizations and art-ists. All of the rain barrels sold at auction that evening.

The event encouraged the use of gathering rainwater to maintain gardens throughout the year. Master Gardeners were stationed by the rain barrel auction area to answer any questions regarding the utilization of rain barrels.
