Huntington University will observe Constitution Day on Sept. 19 with a panel discussion of proposed amendments to the United States Constitution.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 11:50 a.m in the Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts on the HU campus. It is open to the public.

A book by retired Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, "Six Amendments: How and Why We should Change the Constitution," will launch a discussion of ways to improve politics and government through constitutional amendments.

Confirmed panelists are Nancy C. Marcus, professor of law at Indiana Tech Law School, Fort Wayne, and John F. Branham, adjunct professor at Huntington University and a former Huntington County prosecuting attorney.
