Library to participate in International Games Day

The Huntington City-Township Public Library will participate in the seventh annual International Games Day on Nov. 15.

Families and individuals of all ages are invited to stop by the Main Library, in Huntington, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Nov. 15 to play a variety of games, including Ticket to Ride, Battleship, Carcassonne, Clue, Pandemic, Mario Kart and Wii Sports.

Other libraries and schools around the world will sponsor similar activities.

International Games Day is an initiative run by volunteers from around the world and sponsored by the American Library Association. In partnership with Nordic Game Day and the Australian Library and Information Association, its purpose is to reconnect communities through their libraries around the educational, recreational and social value of all types of games.

The Huntington City-Township Public Library will be one of more than 1,000 libraries participating in the event.

The Huntington library is located at 255 W. Park Drive, Huntington.
