Pathfinder recognizes its volunteers

Pathfinder Services honored its volunteers during National Volunteer Appreciation Week, which was observed April 12 to 18.

“National Volunteer Week is all about recognizing our volunteers for their time, talent and dedication toward enriching the lives of those we serve,” says Christina West, volunteer coordinator for Pathfinder Services. “We rely heavily on volunteers for our major fund-raising events, special community activities as well as some of the day-to-day operations of our organization.”

During fiscal year 2014, more than 170 volunteers provided more than 5,000 hours of service in support of Pathfinder Services’ mission to strengthen communities primarily by enabling people experiencing developmental or economic challenges to achieve independence, inclusion and stability.

Areas to volunteer include enriching the lives of teens and adults with disabilities, educating and inspiring children at Kids Kampus, supporting financial literacy and community building or lending support organizationally with professional services.
