The Wayne Township Future Farmers 4-H Club will sell nursery quality flower baskets on Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Mt. Etna United Methodist Church.

The church is located at the intersection of Ind.-9 and Ind.-124.

The sale, which is open to the public, will raise funds for the club’s community service projects.

Each year, the club, which includes about 50 members, chooses at least three service projects.
This year, members voted to assemble “bedtime bags” for children at the Huntington House women’s shelter and fill flower planters at Hier’s Park. They will also help clean up Salamonie Reservoir on May 16.

Along with other clubs, the Wayne Township Future Farmers are collecting pop tabs for Riley Children’s Hospital.

Members can also be seen around town as they fulfill a “Random Acts of Kindness” challenge.
