4-H robotics team to be the main entertainment for upcoming Habitat Summer Fun Open House

The Huntington County 4-H Robotics Team will be the featured entertainment at the Huntington County Habitat for Humanity Summer Fun Open House and Picnic on July 18. The Huntington County 4-H Robotics Team will be the main entertainment feature at the upcoming Huntington County Habitat for Humanity Summer Fun Open House and Picnic.

The event is being held Saturday, July 18, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Along with the robotics team, as many as 20 different vendors will be onsite to demonstrate do-it-yourself projects and sell their products. There also will be activities for kids and a free-will donation taco bar lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and snow cones.

The robotics team started in 2005 with nine students and now boasts 35 students. The four-time World Championship attendees have won the Indianapolis district competition, were finalists at the Indiana state competition and have won the Engineering Inspiration Award at both the district and state levels.

The team is always ready to welcome new students and mentors and is currently specifically looking for CAD mentors.

Habitat for Humanity is located at 250 Commerce Drive, in Huntington.
