Announce change in one early voting site in county

Early voting for the fall municipal election will take place at American Legion Post 85 instead of at Hier’s Park, the Huntington County clerk’s office has announced.

Eligible voters from Huntington, Markle and Andrews can vote early at any of three locations. No elections are being held in any of the other communities in Huntington County.

Early voting sites are:

• Huntington County Clerk’s office, second floor of the Huntington County Courthouse. Voting will take place there Oct. 13 through Oct. 30, Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Voting will also take place on three Saturdays, including Oct. 24 and Oct. 31 from 8 a.m. to noon and Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to noon.

• Parkview Huntington Family YMCA, 1160W-500N, Huntington. Voting will take place Oct. 28, 29 and 30 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• American Legion Post 85 community room, 1410 S. Jefferson St., Huntington. Voting will take place Oct. 28, 29 and 30 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The courthouse, YMCA and American Legion Post 85 will also be open for voting on Election Day, Nov. 3, along with the Nazarene Church, 1555 Flaxmill Rd., Huntington; Andrews Municipal Building, in Andrews; and Markle Fire Station, in Markle. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Election Day.
Voters have until Oct. 5 to register or update an existing registration in order to vote in the fall election.
