Joy Pleasers Clown Ministry will hold an informational meeting on Saturday, Feb. 6, at The Heritage of Huntington.

The meeting is open to anyone interested in taking upcoming clown classes, being offered by the ministry.
Classes will run on Feb. 13 and will be held at The Heritage of Huntington. The class ends with a graduation ceremony.

The class will start at 9 a.m. and will guide the prospective clowns through the process of choosing their clown type after they have applied the make-up of the four types of clowns.

Students will also learn clown character traits and movement and practice and master the basics of balloon sculpting. The class will take a trip to a clown supply shop, where participants can purchase wigs and other accessories.

Membership to Joy Pleasers is open to anyone over 16 years of age. A fee will be charged for classes, which includes a make-up kit, balloon pump and balloons, skit book and the first year's membership dues.

A minimum number of participants will be required for the class to be held.

The Joy Pleasers Clown ministry is non-denominational and represents many area churches and several surrounding counties.

The group meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at The Heritage.

For more information or to register for the class, contact Midge Decker at 356-3791 or Jeanette Ebersole at 356-8018.
