Holcomb will run in GOP primary for senate seat

Eric Holcomb has submitted ballot petition signatures from all 92 counties along with his paperwork to be placed on the Republican primary ballot as a candidate for the United States Senate.

Holcomb, of Indianapolis, is a veteran of the United States Navy, served as an advisor to Gov. Mitch Daniels and is a former state chairman of the Indiana Republican Party.

Most recently, he served as state chief of staff to U.S. Sen. Dan Coats.

Holcomb joins Marlin Stutzman and Todd Young in vying for the Republican nomination to the senate seat, which will be vacated by Coats.
